Many Muslim families will be celebrating Eid in the near future. The Academy understands the importance of Eid and recognises that some students will take time off for religious observance/ celebrations and will not attend school on Thursday, May 13th 2021.
The Governing Body has agreed that only one day’s absence is permitted for celebrating Eid and this one day will be an authorised absence providing we have had a parental consent return.
As Eid is dependent on the sighting of the new moon in specific locations, it may be that your family will celebrate Eid on a different day to May 13th 2021. If that is the case, please remember that only one day is given for celebrating Eid and only one day will be authorised for any absence.
The Academy will be open as normal but Muslim students have the option of taking one day off school for the celebration of Eid.
Please complete the form for each child you have, who attends the Academy.
If you are unable to access the form, please call the Academy and ask to speak to the Attendance team or reception. Any requests must be received by Monday 10th May 2021.
May we take this opportunity to wish everyone Eid Mubarak!
