JLA Commemorates The End of WW1
The MFL Faculty wanted to commemorate the end of the First World War and enrolled the Y8 cohort into creating an army of “poilus”, nickname given to French soldiers during the Great War.
They wrote a poem about the attributes of soldiers as they saw fit and doing this, proved their upmost respect for the Fallen.
During the lesson, they also displayed great understanding and knowledge of the conflict, thanks to the work of our History department and form tutors who shared a series of presentations with the students which helped towards the contribution with the overall engagement with the project.
