The post holders' responsibilities include providing small group or one to one support; general classroom support; particularly supporting students in their language development but also with their social and emotional needs to engage in the classroom. This includes developing resources and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of students, and then supporting students in the acquisition and understanding of their MFL language lesson. This is to enable students to overcome barriers to their learning of language concepts and to develop more effective coping strategies, so that they can access the relevant curriculum and engage in wider opportunities to enable them to be more successful.

There are also possibilities and opportunities for our TAs who are able to work during lunchtimes (lunch duties) and/or there may be possibilities after school to extend your hours of work, subject to needs of students and the Academy. There are excellent opportunities for staff to thrive and develop further at the Academy.

You will have:

• Practical skills and expertise as outlined in the Job description, particularly in relation to Language interventions.
