Teacher Awarded the Association of Jamaican Nationals Local Hero Norman Manley Award
We are very proud to announce that Miss Simmonds has been awarded the Association of Jamaican Nationals Local Hero Norman Manley Award, for her services to Education and the Community in Jamaica since 1994.
The reasons for why she was chosen to receive this award are:
Voluntary work in:
• Cultural development in Jamaica.
• Environmental Protection in Jamaica.
• Mentoring of young people in churches in Jamaica and the England.
• Active member of the trade union attending conferences and marches.
As well as for several aspects of her Career:
• Senior Leader in Education (SLE) delivering training workshops in Behaviour Management at the Academy and as part of the Streetly Alliance.
• Pastoral Manager.
• President of Walsall NASWT (2016).
